Sea turtles use the moon’s glow to guide them to the sea. It is the lighted path they follow to move deliberately toward their goal. We can likewise determine our true goals and move toward them in a conscious and mindful way.

Each person’s goals and path are unique. We seek therapy and support at different stages in our lives and personal development. My approach is to meet you where you are and determine what works best for you as an individual. As you move through therapy and gain new tools and insight, I adjust the approach as needed to help you continually advance toward your goals.

I integrate multiple theories depending on your needs and style, including but not limited to: EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and parts work. Any approach I use is integrated with the concepts of attachment and neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to rewire, leading to changes in mood, attitude or action. Attachment refers to the child/caretaker bond and how that can become a template for future relationships. The attachment between therapist and client can be healing if you are someone who experienced a complex early attachment. Together, we can determine the changes that you desire and then, with a positive client/therapist attachment, we can take deliberate actions to achieve them, making connections in your mind to maintain them.

Neuroplasticity and attachment occur throughout our lives. It is never too late.
